Connecting education, people and communities through innovative solutions

K-12 Education

Educational architecture connects our experiences of exploration, discovery and learning. More than 70 years ago, Perkins+Will gained national recognition for sensitive educational design. Our seminal project, Crow Island Elementary School, was rooted in creative collaboration and sustained observation. This celebrated work is the foundation for our personal educational design philosophy and our tradition of award-winning work.

We connect the knowledge and experience of educators with the energy and enthusiasm of students and communities to support innovative educational missions and spaces. Our process is infused with principles of observation, collaboration and knowledge sharing. We are committed to creating agile environments that stand the test of time. Implicit in every project is a mission of sustainability that defines the Perkins+Will practice. Healthy and aware learning environments are at the core of what we do, and we believe they are the catalyst to creating healthy and aware communities. We offer expertise in architecture, interiors and planning + strategies and experience in rural, urban, suburban and international settings. Our capabilities include new school construction, additions, renovations, programming, design guidelines, branding and graphics, feasibility studies, facility assessments, referendum support, pre/post occupancy studies and long-term planning.
