Michael leads the design efforts of the Chicago Interiors discipline. He has applied his keen eye and masterly touch to the creation of workplaces, showrooms and furniture lines. Michael has received numerous accolades for his work including First Place in the ASID Design Excellence Awards for the OFS Brands Showroom, a Citation of Merit in the AIA Chicago Design Excellence Awards for the CBS 2 Broadcast Center, an AIA Chicago 2006 Interior Architecture Honor Award for the Armani Exchange Headquarters, the 2006 ADEX Award for Design Excellence and the Design Journal Magazine Gold Medal for Halcon Corporation/Mitre Casegoods.

His expertise in law firms has been highlighted in his recent articles in AIA Architect, "Top Considerations for Today's Law Firms", and HQ Magazine, "Law Firms: How to Reduce Facility Costs Without Compromising Effectiveness". His work has also been published in top design publications including Contract Magazine, Shelter Magazine, Interior Design Magazine and Corporate Interiors. He co-wrote a chapter on schematic design for the Interior Design Handbook of Professional Practice.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Design from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Arizona State University, where he has served as visiting professor.
