Michael leads the higher education practice for New York and the northeastern region of the United States. His experience includes master plans and the design of science buildings, classroom facilities, facilities for recreation, academic libraries, administrative office spaces, student centers and museums. His ability to listen to a client's needs and to rally and encourage team members results in projects that are responsive and inspiring.

Mike is inspired by the need to address the issues of community and collaborative behavior in balance with issues of privacy and individual action, resulting in the creation of facilities of enduring character. Prior to joining Perkins+Will, he was president of GBQC Architects and focused for more than 25 years on design for institutions of higher education.
