As President and Chief Executive Officer, Phil is responsible for the firm's strategic focus and business performance. He is directly involved with quality initiatives including design excellence, sustainability and technical delivery; he oversees firm growth, diversification and development; and he defines the firm's business objectives for performance, collaborative operations and staff development.
In 1993 Phil joined the firm as an architect working with Science + Technology, Healthcare and Corporate clients. He has served as the firm's President, a member of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of one of our largest regional practices.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Arts and Philosophy from Harvard College as well as a Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design where he graduated first in his class. Phil is active within the community as a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Building Museum, the Board of Directors for the Museum of Design Atlanta and the Downtown Atlanta Rotary Club. He also serves in the Executive Committee for the AIA Large Firm Roundtable.
Phil Harrison was honored by the Design Futures Council as a Senior Fellow for his contributions toward the understanding of changing trends, new research and applied knowledge leading to innovative design models that improve the built environment and the human condition.
