Tama is a principal and serves as our National Interior Design Healthcare Practice Leader. She is internationally recognized in the creation of therapeutic environments. Tama brings an integrated humanistic approach to her clients, her teams and the firm. From the beginning of her career Tama's interest in the measurable effects of designed environments on health improvement led her to critical inquiry and research. She is a spokesperson raising awareness of this correlation among her clients, peers, other professionals and leaders across the healthcare industry. This innovative practice has earned Tama many design awards. She is a frequent lecturer on the issue of innovative design and has numerous published projects.
She was invited to serve as a professional delegate to the People to People Healthcare Design Leadership Delegation to China and presented Research Informing Design in Guilin, with the Guilin Architectural Design & Research Institute. She is a member of the international "Leading by Design research project" and is adjunct faculty at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. Tama helped launch a healthcare design continuing education program with the New York University and taught extensively throughout a five-year span. She has been elected to both the IIDA and ASID's prestigious College of Fellows.
