As an expansion to Turner Entertainment's Techwood Campus in Atlanta, Georgia, Perkins+Will planned and designed interiors for two new buildings and associated parking structures. The buildings include more than 330,000 square feet for Turner's Executive Offices and Network Operations.

An in-depth design planning process revealed openness, technology, community and improvisation were most important to Turner's leadership and employees. Design solutions included central "community zones" with an open cafe for improvisational meetings, "powerwalls" with gridded translucent panels to integrate technology, and director's pavilions with dropped "cloud" ceilings and sliding barn doors to support openness and community.

Environmentally friendly, sustainable design strategies top off this innovative project: bamboo in lieu of wood paneling in lobbies, sensors in lieu of switches for lighting, linoleum flooring, environmentally sound carpet backings and adhesives for improved indoor air quality.
