Inpatient Room Design
The Perkins+Will Healthcare Market Sector convenes annually at a "Center of Excellence" conference. It rotates each year to one of our many offices across the country. Healthcare planners, programmers, designers and healthcare practitioners on staff participate in the Center of Excellence. All of our national offices are represented in this intense dialogue focused on research, innovation and technological advances. Experts in the field of healthcare are invited from among our clients and at large to participate in the annual Center of Excellence. The conference enables us to share and leverage our national expertise through a cross-fertilization of ideas and concepts gained through project-based experience.
This year, we were more deliberate about applying the collective brain power and creativity in a more direct application. We structured a two-day design charette focused on inpatient room design. Charette is a term, familiar to Architects, for a collaborative session in which participants brainstorm solutions to a specific problem within a set timeframe.
