This 126-bed undergraduate residence brings new vitality to the southern edge of campus and acts as a gateway to the Olin College of Engineering. Sited on a wooded hillside, the 5-story building is integrated into the landscape. Its crescent form creates an internal courtyard space with entries at multiple levels along the slope facing the main campus.

The residence is organized into 31 apartment units, each with four private bedrooms and baths that share a common entry, kitchen, dining and living area. Double-height common areas link the units and encourage interaction between floors while providing daylight and views out to the wooded landscape. Public gathering spaces including the main student lounge featuring a fireplace and comfortable seating, a 2-story lounge with kitchen, an activity room and an outdoor patio area are important elements of the design.
