Canada Life’s head office is located in a 1931 Beaux Arts limestone building. When completed, it was one of the tallest buildings in downtown Toronto. We completely revitalized the building so that it can continue to be the centerpiece of Canada Life’s urban campus. The project included the complete replacement of mechanical, electrical, communication and security systems while Canada Life's executive and leased floors and Federal Court office floors remained occupied. The main ground floor lobby was restored to its original grandeur. The lobby includes an exact miniature replica of the building’s famous rooftop weather beacon, complete with LED lights synchronized with the actual tower fixtures that flash green for clear weather, red for cloudy, flashing red for rain and white for snow.
