The China HuaNeng Corporation is one of the largest state-owned power generation companies. The commission to design the China HuaNeng Group Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base Campus was the result of a winning proposal offered by our Atlanta and Shanghai offices. The approximately 2.5 million square foot program is a modern mix of expertise in both market sector integration and interdisciplinary collaboration. Major components include research laboratories, a built-to-suit corporate office tower, international exhibition and conference center, five star boutique hotel, residential block and sports complex over an underground parking and service infrastructure. The client brief called for a park-like environment that would foster a sense of innovation, collaboration and dedication to HuaNeng’s important energy mission. The project, located in an emerging Science City in the northern suburbs of Beijing, is being designed to meet LEED Gold certification.
