East Side Union High School District Master Plan
San Jose, California
Completion Date: 2004
Number of campuses in planning: 11
Number of campuses for design: 3

We are the district architect for the preliminary designs of a $330+ million bond project on the 11 high school campuses of the East Side Union High School District. In addition, we are the campus architect for three of these projects, which include site assessment, modernization, reconstruction, reorganization and new construction campus expansion projects.

We were highly committed to a participatory process that involved district, individual campus faculty and staff, parents and students in the planning. This journey goes beyond innovative facility design and delves into defining overarching educational goals and curriculum models for the district as a whole and for our three distinct schools. Evident in all projects is a commitment to integrated learning environments that encourage project-based learning.

Through our efforts, the district realizes a greater equity between its campuses and ensures that its educational facilities are safe and technically prepared to successfully teach students for the next 50 years.
