The John B. Amos Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer care center that consolidates existing and new programs into one location for patient convenience. The cancer center offers a full range of services including integrative medicine focused on mind-body healing, rehabilitation tailored to the unique needs of cancer patients and programs designed to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families. The new center is a 3-story, 50,000 square foot, free-standing building adjacent to Columbus Regional Medical Center.

A goal for the entire cancer program and for the facility is to have continuity of surroundings and staff for patients and their families. Cancer involves multiple treatment modalities and crosses over traditional departmental lines, therefore, cancer patients and their families visit the facility several times while undergoing therapy. By offering an integrated approach to care, the patient and family undergo the same number of experiences, but in a familiar surrounding and with a familiar staff.
