This revitalized student union has transformed student life. It is the heart of the university – a campus living room, with a central two-story Main Street and open views to the sky. We designed this expansion and renovation with students in mind: a place where students can grab something to eat, hang out with friends, curl up with a good book next to the fireplace, shoot pool, and buy books and clothes.

A variety of spaces support large group activities, impromptu gatherings and quiet study. Exhibit space for student art, a "campfire" lounge and retail space encourage a vital and lively community life. Other program areas include: a 325-seat multipurpose auditorium, an expanded bookstore, student association offices, conference and meeting rooms. The food court adds seating to the existing dining area, with a wide range of vendors.
