Texas Christian University is a private, co-educational university. Founded in 1873, it has evolved from a small liberal arts academy into a prominent university with a population of more than 7,400 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students. We have provided planning and design services for TCU since 1998. During this time, we have completed an academic facilities master plan and planning projects for nearly all of TCU’s seven academic divisions.

We recently developed the 2020 Campus Facilities Master Plan, which assessed the capacity of existing facilities to meet changing pedagogies and technologies and the way in which these changes affect academic disciplines and facility needs. We also explored the impact of new building construction on campus dynamics. We worked with the master plan steering committee and also met with numerous stakeholder groups and community organizations over the course of three planning phases. Issues of circulation, open space, land use, building use and parking were addressed.

Guided by the university's strategic plan and goals of the academic facilities master plan, this plan provides a framework for the university to make decisions as it continues to grow and evolve.
